First Game within Touching Distance

Dai Rose

Hi guys. I think it’s fair to say that things are ramping up a bit at training. Last night was intense again and the boys were really getting into each other.

The physicality has stepped up a notch and there are loads of new laws for the kids to learn. This season will feel like they are playing a different sport. Hand offs, ripping, mauling, contested scrums, to name but a few things.

We have our first game on the horizon too against Mumbles in a couple of weeks time. Dykey says they are training hard as they want to get a win against ‘the old enemy’.

We had a chat last night and we have decided that as result of all the things described above we’d like all the players to have attended at least two training sessions before playing their first game.

We’ve made the call on the grounds of safety and wanted to put this message out so that all the kids have ample opportunity to make the sessions before the first official game in September.

We understand that there’s lots going on at the moment but would appreciate your support with this matter.

If you have any questions at all please just message one of us via the website or WhatsApp.

Enjoy the rest of the summer and see you all next week.
